DRIED IN SPECIFICATIONS
Getting your Log Home Package "dried in" means that the builder will construct the kit on your land, on your foundation (the builder can give an estimate on this for you after seeing the building site if you wanted). This options price includes the stacking of the logs, installation of roof trusses/beams and roofing system up to the felt, second floor system, covered porches/decking (without railing), inside wall studs framed and installed, doors installed, windows installed, logs/studs drilled and ready for installation of electrical wiring, outside logs stained and sealed.
This option leaves the house in a dried in status from the outside elements. The log home is now ready for the homeowner to finish building out the house themselves and save a lot of money while building instant equity. Or the homeowner can also be the contractor and hire out their own subcontractors to finish the house and still come in well under what a typical builder would charge you to do it!
